Deep in the Catlins at the bottom of Te Waipounamu (the South Isalnd) is a rocky bay filled with dolphins, a petrified forest and a cinematically intense craggy clifface. The silver peaks around the pearl mimic the stunted and solid petrified forest, while the colour of the pearl mimics the glistening ocean, and is in the green tones of the surrounding bush.
